Safe to say that I am very behind on sharing recent and not-so-recent work….! I am in the studio today prepping for PG Live (my first ever trade show) so I thought I would take the opportunity to grab a few quick pictures while the light is bright (a rare occurrence it seems in London!). I finished this illustrated wedding invitation design last year for Jessica who commissioned the portraits as a surprise. She asked for 30s style finger curls and dress and I am so happy with how they turned out.
If you would like to see a free sample of this or any other design (my photography skills don’t quite do them justice!) please get in touch.
I’ve got my copy of WeAreCollision magazine issue 3! I did an illustration for a piece by Pear Nuallak about Mori Girl fashion and I think it looks great. I like how they have doubled up the border to use it around the text.
WeAreCollision is a new London based quarterly publication focused on the discussion of fashion and culture with a bold aesthetic and inquisitive editorial tone.
It is distributed internationally, see stockists here.
Last night we went to the Hayward Gallery on London’s Southbank to see the George Condo exhibition and it very much lived up to my expectations. His technique is really lovely, very traditional, in contrast to his grotesque and humorous portrayal of the “typography” of the human face. The works I have featured here are just a few of his portraits. There is a particularly great series of 9 paintings of Her Majesty the Queen which you can see here on The Telegraph. The Guardian also have a good profile of the exhibition, including a video interview, which I recommend if you were not able to catch it.
